Tori Ford is the founder of Medical Herstory, an international, youth-led non-profit that’s on a mission to eliminate sexism, shame, and stigma from health experiences. Medical Herstory empowers patients to share their stories. The organization uses storytelling to educate healthcare providers about sexism, racism and ableism in medicine and how to overcome it. Medical Herstory also advocates to ensure that patient voices are represented in research, policy, and medical curricula.

Tori is currently completing a Doctorate of Philosophy in Primary Health Care at the University of Oxford, with funding from the UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Research. Tori has received multiple awards for her work on advancing gender health equity.
