As the CEO and co-founder of HDAX Therapeutics, Nabanita Nawar is determined to address the devastating impacts of untreated and undertreated cardiometabolic, inflammatory, and neurological diseases. Nabanita secured millions in funding in 2024 to develop novel therapeutics, while expanding her team to nine full-time employees across Toronto and Boston.

Nabanita’s leadership style is characterized by inclusivity, transparency, and a strong sense of purpose that inspires those around her. A lecturer at the Health Science Professional Master’s program at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, Nabanita mentors young scientists and promotes initiatives to help underrepresented groups break barriers in scientific fields.
